CCIE Trek

A blog of Jeff Rensink's trek to the CCIE summit (again)

Study Tracker

Here, you’ll find a record of my SP track study activities.  I have a few reasons for sharing this info.  First, it’ll help me to stay motivated.  I can’t say that I really want to advertise to the world that I’m a slacker.  So this will help me to keep the books cracked and the lab equipment running and active.

Second, it’ll be a record to see what all went in to earning my CCIE.  The more that people see what exactly goes into earning a CCIE, the less mystery there is to it.  The less mystery, the more people realize that they can do it too.  I know for myself, the more that I read about how others earned their CCIE, the more I believe that I can do it as well.  Hopefully this has the same effect on others.

I’ll be tracking my studying a bit differently than I did for the R&S track.  I won’t be tracking my hours studied, as I’ve found I’m not able to study in nice blocks like I was able to with the R&S.  I have a lot more interruptions.  So I’ll be tracking myself by blueprint topic for the written exam.  I’ll probably do something different when it comes to tracking my lab studying.
